West Sacramento 公园 & 娱乐 consists of four separate functions: a 公园 Division, 娱乐 Division, Early Learning 海洋之神登录入口, 和海洋之神官方网站的 树的程序. The 公园 Department provides recreation and leisure opportunities with its park facilities and recreation programming. These programs are designed to help local residents improve their overall health and quality of life.

Free Family-Friendly Arts Event2024_AitH_graphics 

Visitors to Arts in the Heart can experience music and dance performances, 视觉艺术, and hands-on art activities.  There will also be community informational booths. 
Cocina Doña Chuyita Food Truck will be serving authentic Mexican cuisine.

  • Decorate a take-home ceramic Calavera (sugar skull) and participate in our Calavera Contest.  The City's Arts Commissioners will vote on the best decorated.
    While supplies last.
  • Chalk The Walk - the sidewalk between the Community Center and Los Rios Community College will be a chalk art surface (weather permitting)
  • Special art exhibit featuring painter Verónica Kovats Sánchez
  • Add a picture to commemorate a passed loved one to the Community Center’s altar for Día De Los Muertos
  • Dress in your favorite Catrin or Catrina attire
  • Dance performances by multiple cultures
  • Free light refreshments
  • Free raffle prizes

This class is a 1.5 hour instruction designed for those aged 6 - 12 and their grown-up. Instructed by Jenny Egbert from Palette Art Events. Included is a canvas, all materials, and a light snack for both grown up & 老姐.

Fee: $50 registration fee + $6 material fee (material fee to be paid at the door via venmo or cash)
